2012 | A Wonderful Year - So Blessed!

Happy 2013! I loved going through all the thousands of pictures that I was privileged to take this year because it was a huge reminder of ALL the love I got to witness. So many allowed me to be a part of the most special day of their lives, their funny/awkward family moments, and the time when he asked her to be his best friend forever. I loved all of them! Sometimes I was right in their faces and sometimes I was hiding in a tree (literally ;)).

I started this exciting year with Brian and Marie's wedding in February. Marie was the first of the Pruitt sisters to tie the knot in 2012! To be a part of her day was amazing because its not every day that you get to photograph one of your babysitter's weddings!

This was "my" first proposal of the year!

Ok, I love all of my engagement shoots. Really, they might be my favorite "jobs" (but they are always so fun I have a hard time calling them that), but AJ and Sabrina made my job so ridiculously easy and fun that they might be my favorite of the year...maybe, they had stiff competition ;)
 Naturals....thats all I can say

And then Corrie and Wade got married! I'm proud of this one because you wouldn't believe me if I told you that we did almost all the pictures dodging raindrops. No joke!

Introducing: The way-to-cute-for-words, Shawn and Liz!
One of my favorite 'ring pics'! I'm just smitten with the colors and happiness/contentment/JOY here...lalalalala...

FIRST family shoot of the year came in the early daysa of summer. Jenn is one of my dearest friends from college and her sisters and herself wanted to give their parents a special anniversary present since it was long past time to do family pictures. Its always SO fun to take pictures of my friends!

Chelsea was my first friend at Multnomah and I remember when she told me that she had just started dating Jamee. They are wonderful and I was so excited to see the beginning of their marriage in such a special way.

Winner for the cutest child ever award goes to: Adalyn!

Can I get a unanimous "aaaawwwwwwwwwwwwww", please?

So when business gets slow/my homework load got to much to handle, I had to take breaks :)
These two BABES helped me soak in the last few warm day (since Oregon doesn't have many) of summer. All I could say the whole time was "wow, wow, wow, how are you so natural? ....wo.....!"

Remember Kellee and Ryan? :)

Liz and Shawn's wedding day was way to much fun and totally proved to me that prayer WORKS! I had seen that the forecast predicted 55% chance of rain. In Oregon that means: wear your coat or be sorry! It was raining when I got in my car that morning and the whole way to the salon I was praying that it would just NOT rain when we needed to do pictures. It could rain any time we were inside, but I just wanted some lovely fall-y color pictures. Pretty please!

It rained until Liz was done at the salon and then the glorious sun came out for some indoor pictures (amazing light came through the big window. EEEE!!) and then as we drove to the church the rain began. I prayed again. Stepped out of car and rain stopped! Took these:
...and then as soon as we finished it came down again. That was the rhythm all day. I got all my outdoor shots; even with the family (I didn't think this would happen because their was a hail storm during the, thankfully indoor, ceremony)!

The next day I got to "oooooo" and "awwww" of this family!
Is it even legal to be this cute??? I hope mine are this adorable one day... *crosses fingers*
This is one hot momma!

And then.... *bounces* Ellen (second of the Pruitt sisters, remember?) and Brendon got married! Ellen and I have been friends for our whole lives and to be her photographer, on the most special day of her life, was one of the favorite moments of my whole year.

"Enchanting" is the word I would choose for Caroline which is why I can totally understand why Caleb has asked her to be his wife! I am so so so excited to shoot their wedding day this summer! It will be my last wedding before I move to Germany (surprise, if you didn't know that already! Find out more here)
Bow-tie love!!!!

I wrapped up my year with a proposal. What better way is there? Nathaniel and Hannah are friend from college and it was so fun watching him work SO hard to surprise his girl! She had no idea that her hike in the snow would turn into the surprise of her life. Many of their close friends and I were hiding in the trees surrounding this clearing and the snowman (Parson Brown!).
Then I just had to steal them away to the oh-so-lovely-snow-covered-trees!

Thank you to everyone who shared part of their year/life with me! It was truly a pleasure to be a part of it. I love my job and am so blessed! May your new year be full of wonderful memories, precious moments, and joy. So much joy! Happy New year!
